At Celebrate You Recovery Outreach, our mission extends beyond individual support. We are always looking for ways to give back to the community that has given so much to us and our members.
At this time, our donations page is set up to collect funds that will go directly to Evelyn's House in upstate New York.
Evelyn's House is a vital program that provides immediate, safe, and supportive housing for young mothers (ages 16-24) who are pregnant and/or parenting, and who are experiencing homelessness or fleeing domestic violence.
While residing there, the mothers receive intensive case management, including evidence-based parenting classes, assistance with education and employment, mental health treatment, and guidance toward obtaining permanent, stable housing and ultimately, self-sufficiency.
This program is one very close to my heart. In 2014, when I became pregnant with my oldest daughter at just 21 years old, I was faced with countless challenges. I was homeless, had no job, and was struggling with substance abuse.
Evelyn's House provided a lifeline that saved me and my daughter. This program was a miracle that allowed me to get off the streets and gave us safe housing. They provided me with proper healthcare throughout my pregnancy, helped me find employment, and assisted in getting me into counseling which helped me maintain my sobriety.
I express my deepest gratitude for Evelyn's House. They not only provided a roof over our heads but gave me a new start as a first time mom. Evelyn’s House has made a life-changing impact on countless young women and their children.
As the holiday season approaches, I felt it only necessary to raise money to pour back into the program that helped me and my daughter so many years ago. Every family deserves warmth, safety, and hope, especially during the holidays.
